Public Water Supply District #1 of
Atchison County Missouri

Welcome to our District!

PWSD #1 of Atchison County was formed on May 17, 1971. The first water lines were laid in 1974. We currently supply over 300 customers and service the outlaying towns of Langdon and Watson as well as rural Rock Port.

In July of 2008, PWSD #1 expanded the district boundaries to cover all of Atchison County, Missouri.

A five member Board of Directors, elected by you, the User, to serve terms of three years, manages the District. Our District is divided into five sub-districts. One board member represents each sub-district. Members of the Board serve without pay or any special considerations.

The Board of Directors meets the third Wednesday of each month. These meetings are open to the public. If anyone has a concern they would like to bring before the Board of Directors, please call our office at (660)744-5365 at least one week in advance of the meeting and request time on the agenda. Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office is closed for most legal holidays observed by county and government offices.
